Trees4Scotland aims to plant 100,000 trees in Scotland during 2009.

Did you know that the UK has only 12% woodland coverage in comparison to our European neighbours who have an average of 32%? Or that Scotland used to have 80% woodland coverage?

Your help is invaluable as we strive to achieve our aim of restoring Scotland’s woodlands and regenerating wildlife habitats.

At the same time you are doing your bit to combat climate change. Trees soak up the greenhouse gas, carbon dioxide, and convert it to stored carbon and at the same time produce oxygen – so planting trees is a great thing to be doing for the environment in these difficult times.
